State Minister for Sports and Youth Welfare, Udhayanidhi Stalin, inaugurated the new building of the Tamil Nadu Press Photographers’ Association on Wednesday. He highlighted the significance of photography, emphasizing that a single photograph can hold immense power and play a crucial role in storytelling.
During the event, Udhayanidhi paid tribute to 24 deceased photographers and presented camera bags. G. Ramakrishnan, a CPI(M) politburo member, emphasized the importance of press freedom and freedom of expression, particularly in the face of recent challenges to these rights.
He stated that photographers and press associations play a vital role in protecting these freedoms, which are essential to democracy.
