Tamil Nadu Minister V. Senthilbalaji, who has been incarcerated at the Central Prison in Puzhal following his arrest by the Directorate of Enforcement (ED) in a money-laundering case in June, was briefly hospitalized on Monday. Prison sources reported that Mr. Senthilbalaji complained of numbness in his leg, prompting his transfer to the Government Stanley Hospital for medical attention.
However, after evaluation, he was discharged in the afternoon and returned to the prison. The Minister’s arrest is connected to a job-for-cash scam allegedly committed during his tenure as Transport Minister in a previous AIADMK government. Despite seeking bail, he remains in judicial custody.
