Chief Secretary Shiv Das Meena inaugurated this year’s Kalloori Kanavu programme to assist Class XII students in realizing their career aspirations. Additionally, the Tamil Puthalvan scheme, announced in the State Budget 2024, will be implemented from June to support boys’ higher education. Under this scheme, boys who have studied in government schools from Class VI to XII will receive ₹1,000 per month for purchasing books and other essentials.
The programme aims to guide students in choosing subject-wise courses, diplomas, and colleges that offer promising job opportunities after graduation. Experts and academics will provide guidance to students, helping them make informed decisions about their future careers. The Kalloori Kanavu programme will run until May 13 across various districts in Tamil Nadu, with speakers from different fields addressing students about their career options.
