Governor R.N. Ravi has called for an emergency meeting at Raj Bhavan to address the flood situation in four southern districts of Tamil Nadu. The meeting, scheduled for Tuesday, will include heads of various Central government departments, defense forces, and the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF).
Governor Ravi, who canceled his planned trip to Varanasi due to the flooding, has instructed Chief Secretary Shiv Das Meena to ensure swift measures for rescue and relief operations in the affected areas. The meeting aims to coordinate efforts among multiple agencies, including the NDRF, Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, and other essential services, to assist those affected by the floods in Tirunelveli, Thoothukudi, Tenkasi, and neighboring districts.
