T.N. Prison Department Denies Allegations of Assault on ‘Savukku’ Shankar

The Department of Prisons and Correctional Services in Tamil Nadu has refuted allegations of assault on YouTuber ‘Savukku’ Shankar while he was lodged in Central Prison, Coimbatore.

Responding to circulating news on social media, the department stated that neither prison personnel nor other inmates assaulted Shankar. The denial comes after claims from Shankar’s advocate alleging assault by prison personnel, which the department has firmly denied.
