T.G. Bharat, Kurnool MLA, officially took charge as Andhra Pradesh’s Minister for Industries and Commerce and Food Processing on June 20, 2024. Upon assuming office, he signed critical files for the Visakhapatnam-Chennai Industrial Corridor and extended land lease terms allotted by the AP Industrial Infrastructure Corporation.
Bharat expressed the government’s ambition to industrialize Andhra Pradesh akin to Gujarat, with plans for a financial hub similar to GIFT City. He emphasized creating a supportive environment for entrepreneurs and addressing pending incentives. Additionally, efforts will focus on realizing MoUs signed between 2014 and 2019 and in the following five years.
