A baby boy kidnapped from Machilipatnam’s Government Hospital on July 14 was rescued within four hours, according to Krishna district Superintendent of Police Adnan Nayeem Asmi.
The accused, Tammisetti Lakshmi, intended to use the infant for begging. CCTV footage captured Lakshmi taking the baby while his mother slept. The police swiftly arrested Lakshmi and recovered the infant. Commendation certificates were awarded to the officers involved in the case, including CI Someswara Rao and SI Veera Prasad, for their prompt and effective response.
