Swift Action Saves Passengers as KSRTC Bus Catches Fire in Kerala
A Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) bus traveling between Kayamkulam and Alappuzha burst into flames, prompting the driver to quickly evacuate all 44 passengers. The driver, upon noticing a burning smell and an unusual engine sound, immediately parked the bus and ushered everyone off, averting any injuries.
Although the cause of the fire is yet to be determined, the driver ruled out a diesel tank leak as the source, pointing instead to an issue within the engine. Firefighters extinguished the blaze, and while the incident caused traffic disruption on the busy national highway 66, no casualties were reported.
