The 32-year-old suspect involved in the deadly shootings in Rotterdam last week is set to appear before a magistrate on Wednesday, according to the public prosecution service. The suspect, who has been in custody since the September 26 attack, is currently under complete restrictions and can only communicate with his lawyer.
During the arraignment, an investigating judge from the Rotterdam court will determine whether the suspect should remain in custody for an additional 14 days. The attack, in which three people were killed, occurred at two different locations in Rotterdam. Motives for the attack remain unclear, but recent reports suggest the suspect had a troubled history, including a conviction for animal abuse and issues with housing and academic assessments.
