Surat Police Dismantle Human Trafficking Network, Arrest Seven Bangladeshi Intruders
Surat Police in India have arrested seven Bangladeshi intruders and disrupted a network involved in illegal border crossings. The operation resulted in the capture of the prime agent responsible for orchestrating the entry of three women and four men into India, charging them a significant sum of Rs 90,000 per person.
The arrests were made on Wednesday, and officials have seized counterfeit identity documents associated with the case. The main accused primarily used this network to bring Bangladeshi women into India for prostitution while also facilitating the entry of men seeking economic opportunities.
Police are searching for one more suspect involved in producing fake documents for Bangladeshi nationals. The operation was carried out by the Special Operation Group (SOG) of the Surat Police, acting on intelligence that individuals were being illegally transported from Bangladesh into India.
