Successful Test of Agni-Prime Ballistic Missile

India celebrated a milestone as the new generation ballistic missile Agni-Prime underwent a successful flight test from the APJ Abdul Kalam Island, Odisha. The Defence Ministry confirmed that the test, conducted on April 3 evening, achieved all trial objectives, validating the missile’s reliable performance. Data collected from various range sensors deployed at different locations affirmed the success of the test.

Witnessed by top military officials including Chief of Defence Staff Gen Anil Chauhan, the launch marked a significant achievement for India’s Strategic Forces Command (SFC) and Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). Defence Minister Rajnath Singh lauded the efforts of DRDO, SFC, and the Armed Forces, emphasizing the missile’s potential as a force multiplier.
