Suburban Train Services Disrupted for Engineering Works in Chennai

Over 80 suburban train services in Chennai are set to be canceled this weekend due to ongoing engineering works between the Pattabiram and Ambattur yards. The Southern Railway has scheduled the cancellations from 10 p.m. on Saturday to 10 a.m. on Sunday, affecting trains bound for Avadi, Arakkonam, Kadambathur, Tiruvallur, and Tiruttani from Moore Market Complex (MMC) railway station.

However, the Chennai division has organized 37 special trains departing from MMC station to various destinations during this period. To compensate for the cancellations on Saturday night, the Southern Railway will operate four trains from MMC and Chennai Beach. Commuters are advised to plan their travel accordingly and stay updated on alternative transportation options.
