South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol’s approval rating has increased to 36.7 percent, with positive assessments of his recent overseas trip being a key factor, according to a recent poll by Realmeter. In the survey of 2,515 eligible voters, Yoon’s performance garnered a 1.3 percentage point increase in positive assessments from the previous week, while disapproval dropped by 1.2 percentage points to 59.9 percent.
Yoon’s approval rating has been fluctuating in the mid-30 percent range since August. The positive impact of his overseas trips, such as attending summits with ASEAN and the G20, was noted by analysts as a contributing factor to the boost in his approval ratings. Yoon recently returned from visits to Indonesia and India for these summits.
