South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol’s Approval Rating Drops to 34%
A recent poll conducted by polling agency Realmeter has shown that South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol’s approval rating has dropped to 34 percent, the lowest level since May. This decline marks the first time since May that his approval rating has fallen below the 35 percent level.
The poll didn’t provide a specific reason for the drop, but one of the major issues during the survey period was the ruling People Power Party’s defeat in the by-election for Seoul’s Gangseo Ward office. Additionally, the approval rating of the People Power Party fell to 32 percent, its lowest since Yoon’s administration took office, while the main opposition Democratic Party’s approval rating rose to 50.7 percent, the highest under the current administration.
