South Korean Coast Guard Apprehends 22 Chinese Nationals Suspected of Illegal Entry

South Korean authorities have arrested 22 Chinese nationals, all in their 40s, for attempting to illegally enter the country by boat. The group was apprehended after their vessel docked at a port in Boryeong, a western coastal city located 140 km south of Seoul. The South Korean Coast Guard had received a tip-off from military authorities about the boat approaching the city’s waters.

While one individual from the group attempted to escape by land, they were later caught by the police in Ansan, 29 km south of Seoul. The Coast Guard is now conducting an investigation into the incident, aiming to determine the exact location of their departure and the circumstances surrounding their illegal entry.
