Smoke Incident Halts Vande Bharat Express
Passengers aboard the Thiruvananthapuram-Kasaragod Vande Bharat Express faced a moment of alarm as smoke filled the C5 coach near Aluva railway station in Kerala. Initially suspected as an air-conditioning unit malfunction, railway authorities clarified that the smoke arose from the automatic activation of a fire extinguisher in the coach’s toilet.
While no casualties were reported, passengers were promptly relocated to a nearby coach as a precautionary measure. The train resumed its journey after the situation was brought under control, with authorities set to review CCTV footage to determine the cause of the incident.
