Skulls in hand, TN farmers protest against agricultural Bills
Members of some farmers organisations and the two Left parties protested in various parts of Tamil Nadu on Friday against the three farm Bills passed by the Parliament.
Led by the Tamil Nadu Farmers’ Association President P. Ayyakannu, half-clad farmers, carrying human skulls, held their protest outside the Collectorate in Trichy.
Farmers also protested against the Bills in Krishnagiri, Dharmapuri, Tiruppur and Namakkal districts.
In Nagapattinam district and in a couple of other places, members of the Communist Party of India and the Communist Party of India-Marxist protested on the roads against the Bills.
