Six Individuals Booked for Assaulting School Correspondent in Perambur

A case has been registered by the Thiru Vi Ka Nagar Police against six individuals, including a 25-year-old woman teacher, for forcefully entering a private school and assaulting the school’s Correspondent and his wife in Santhi Nagar, Perambur on August 12, 2023.

This action follows a sexual harassment complaint previously filed by the woman teacher against the 53-year-old Brahmanayagam, the school’s Correspondent, at the Sembium All Women Police Station. Y. Vijayalakshmi, who had recently joined the school as a Mathematics teacher, lodged the complaint on August 8.

Despite the ongoing investigation into the harassment complaint, Vijayalakshmi, along with a group, entered the school premises and subjected the Correspondent and his wife Umadevi to verbal abuse, threats, and physical assault. Brahmanayagam sustained injuries during the attack.
