The Special Investigation Team (SIT) appointed to probe the post-election violence in Andhra Pradesh is set to present its findings to the Election Commission of India on May 20. Led by IGP Vineet Brijlal, the team extensively visited multiple districts affected by the violence, including Narsaraopet, Gurajala, Sattenapalli, and Chandragiri.
Their inquiry delved into various aspects such as identifying perpetrators, assessing injuries and damages, scrutinizing police response, and progress in investigations. Additionally, interactions with political leaders and police officials, along with scene reconstructions, were integral to the probe. Meanwhile, newly appointed SPs are diligently reviewing cases, ensuring law and order ahead of the upcoming counting day on June 4.
