APCC president Y. S. Sharmila strongly criticized the alliance between the TDP and Jana Sena Party (JSP) with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), accusing them of conveniently sidelining crucial state issues like the Special Category Status (SCS) and the Polavaram project. She labeled TDP leader N. Chandrababu Naidu as a political opportunist, denouncing his alliance with a party he had previously criticized for neglecting the state’s development. Sharmila also questioned Pawan Kalyan’s admiration for Prime Minister Narendra Modi, urging him to clarify his stance to the public.
Alleging a secret understanding between the YSR Congress Party and BJP, she highlighted the lack of action by the Centre on issues like illegal sand mining in Andhra Pradesh. Moreover, she criticized the YSRCP government for failing to address unemployment effectively, citing delayed notifications for filling vacant government posts.
Additionally, Sharmila condemned the alleged misuse of the police force and public funds by the ruling party, while emphasizing the Congress’s commitment to tackling unemployment through initiatives like ‘Bharti Bharosa’ and ‘Yuva Roshni’.
