Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) president Y.S. Sharmila has lambasted the Jagan Mohan Reddy-led government for its failure to fulfill the promised ‘Mega DSC’ initiative, aimed at filling 25,000 teacher positions. Questioning the discrepancy between the promised figure and the actual notification to fill only 6,100 posts, Sharmila accused the government of deceiving unemployed youth.
She highlighted the timing of the notification, just ahead of elections, and criticized the short preparation time provided to candidates for the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) and DSC exams. Sharmila argued that the government’s policies were causing mental stress to job aspirants and demanded accountability from ruling party leaders.
