Sewer Line Installation Commences in Jalladianpet

The Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (CMWSSB) has initiated the installation of sewer pipelines in Jalladianpet, under the Sholinganallur zone. Spanning a length of 43.3 km, the project, inaugurated by Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, addresses a long-standing need in the area.

With an estimated cost of ₹92.76 crore, the endeavor encompasses the construction of sewage collection centers, pumping stations, and interceptors to divert sewage from watercourses. Additionally, over 3,400 house service connections will be facilitated, benefiting approximately 23,700 residents, while the construction of numerous machine holes aims to mitigate sewage overflow, enhancing the locality’s sanitation infrastructure.
