Severe Impact on Andhra Pradesh’s Progress from 2019 to 2024

Andhra Pradesh Governor Abdul Nazeer highlighted that the state’s setbacks between 2019 and 2024 were more detrimental than those caused by its 2014 bifurcation. He attributed these losses to the regime change in 2019, which led to political instability and hindered economic growth.

Governor Nazeer criticized the governance during this period, citing mismanagement, increased debt, and fiscal imprudence. He also noted that the ambitious plans for Amaravati and the Polavaram project were derailed, and there was a significant rise in crimes against vulnerable sections. The Governor suggested a need for careful deliberation before presenting a full-fledged budget to address these issues.
