The Greater Chennai City Police (GCP) has recently inducted seven puppies into its Sniffer Dog Squad, as announced by Commissioner Sandeep Rai Rathore. These puppies will undergo specialized training in bomb, crime, and drug detection to enhance the squad’s capabilities.
Currently, the squad operates from Kilpauk and St. Thomas Mount, with 21 trained dogs, including 14 bomb detection specialists. The new recruits are expected to bolster the efficiency and effectiveness of the police in ensuring public safety.
