Seven Arrested for Abducting Former Employee of Defrauded Financial Firm in Chennai

The Chennai city police swiftly apprehended seven suspects within seven hours of receiving a complaint about the abduction of A. Senthilkumar, a former employee of the defunct financial firm Aarudhra Gold Ltd. Senthilkumar, aged 37 and a native of Ariyalur district, had previously worked at the firm, which had been shut down after defrauding numerous depositors.

He was involved in a case related to the firm and had been arrested by the Economic Offences Wing. Recently, he was released on conditional bail and was abiding by the court’s set conditions, residing at a relative’s house. The kidnappers, who were reportedly individuals who had invested in the firm, sought to recover their money through ransom, leading to the abduction.

However, the prompt response of the Chennai city police prevented any harm to the victim, and the seven suspects were taken into custody. The incident underscores the seriousness of financial fraud cases and highlights the risks faced by those connected to such defrauded enterprises.
