Security Forces Neutralise Terrorist in Dachhigam Encounter

In a swift operation based on intelligence inputs, security forces neutralised a terrorist in the Dachhigam forest area near Srinagar on December 4, 2024. The encounter began when terrorists opened fire on a search team during a cordon-and-search operation in the upper reaches of the region. The Army, in collaboration with the Jammu and Kashmir Police, responded with precision, eliminating the threat.

Lt. Gen. M.V. Suchindra Kumar praised the coordinated efforts of the forces in Operation Dachhigam, highlighting their synergy and efficiency. The operation took place in Dachhigam National Park, a 141-square-kilometre protected area on the outskirts of Srinagar.
