In a generous move under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, the State Bank of India (SBI), Chennai Circle, has donated ₹79 lakh to the Sankara Nethralaya Medical Research Foundation. The donation aims to acquire a Carl Zeiss Clarus 700 Ultra Widefield Fundus Camera equipped with FFA technology, enabling the capture of comprehensive images of the inner eye, including the retina, optic disc, macula, and posterior pole.
The Managing Director of SBI, Challa Sreenivasulu Setty, presented the cheque to T.S. Surendran, Chairman of Sankara Nethralaya Medical Research Foundation, and K. Narayanan, the foundation’s treasurer.
