Russian drones reportedly launched attacks on Ukraine’s Danube ports of Reni and Izmail, damaging grain warehouses and other facilities. The strikes, conducted using Iranian-supplied drones, came after Russia’s withdrawal from the Black Sea deal that permitted Ukraine to export its grain and amid threats by both Moscow and Kyiv to target civilian carriers visiting the ports, as reported by The Guardian.
Ukraine’s Foreign Minister, Dmytro Kuleba, took to Twitter to condemn the attacks, urging nations worldwide, especially those in Africa and Asia affected by rising food prices, to unite against this “food terrorism.” However, the specific location of the latest drone attack was not disclosed.
