RPF Assistant Sub-Inspector Killed in Tragic Shooting Incident, Family to Receive Compensation
A tragic incident occurred on the Jaipur-Mumbai Central Superfast Express (Train No. 12956) when a Railway Protection Force (RPF) constable opened fire with his automatic rifle, resulting in the death of an RPF Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) and three passengers. The deceased ASI was identified as Tikaram Meena, hailing from Rajasthan’s Sawai Madhopur district.
Tikaram, a resident of Shyampura village, was the sole earning member in his family and was only six months away from his retirement. Sadly, the incident has left his mother Bhuri Devi, wife Barfi Devi, son Dilkush Meena, and daughter Pooja (married) devastated. Western Railway has announced compensation for the family, which includes Rs 15 lakh from Railway Safety Welfare Fund, Rs 15 lakh from the retirement fund, Rs 20,000 for the last rites, and Rs 65,000 under the insurance scheme.
