Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has defended his characterization of Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a ‘big brother’ amidst criticism from Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS). Reddy questioned whether the PM isn’t a figure akin to an elder brother to the people, dismissing allegations of seeking personal favors from Modi.
He emphasized that his requests to the PM were transparent and aimed at the state’s development, not personal gain. Reddy clarified that his appeal for funding Telangana projects mirrored Modi’s support for Gujarat, rejecting accusations of excessive praise for the PM. Furthermore, he affirmed loyalty to Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi, indicating his commitment to his party’s leadership over Modi. Additionally, Reddy distinguished between seeking investments from Adani and selling state assets, ensuring that any investment benefits Telangana without compromising its resources.
