Report on Assam Public Service Commission’s 2014 Exam Irregularities Expected Soon
The retired Justice Biplab Kumar Sharma Commission is set to submit its report on anomalies and malpractices in the Assam Public Service Commission’s (APSC) 2014 Combined Competitive Exam (CCE) within a week. This follows the commission’s report on the 2013 CCE submitted in April 2022, which recommended voiding the selection of the entire 2013 batch due to major irregularities and malpractices.
The commission also found that the former APSC chairman, Rakesh Paul, had been appointed improperly. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has pledged to take action against wrongdoers in the 2014 exam but stated that the government would not decide on revoking the 2013 batch’s selection until it receives the report on the 2014 exam.
