Relocation failed due to female langur escaped from Thiruvananthapuram Zoo
During a trial run to relocate a pair of Gray langurs at Thiruvananthapuram Zoo, the female langur managed to escape from the wildlife park, as reported recently.
The zoo authorities had planned to transfer the langurs to a different location for better conservation and management. However, the escape of the female langur resulted in an unsuccessful relocation attempt. Efforts are now underway to locate and safely retrieve the langur.
The incident highlights the challenges involved in wildlife conservation and the need for comprehensive strategies to ensure the well-being of captive animals.
