Rajasthan Royals look five times better than they were last year-says Graeme Swann

Rajasthan Royals are said to be one of the most balanced teams in IPL 2022 due to the players they bought during the mega auction. The franchise only retained Jos Buttler, Sanju Samson, and Yashasvi Jaiswal this year, with a major refresh for the 15th edition of the Indian Premier League, 2022.

Rajasthan Royals have bought bowlers Trent Boult, Yuzvendra Chahal, and Ravichandran Ashwin (19.5 crore combined), along with young talent Prasidh Krishna for 10 crore. They also got Shimron Hetmyer and Devdutt Padikkal for a combined 16.25 crore. Their recruitment this season has been paying dividends so far, as Chahal is the orange cap holder while the retained Jos Buttler is the purple cap holder.

Yuzvendra Chahal has taken 11 wickets to date, giving away a total of 104 runs in 4 games and an economy rate of 6.50. Jos Buttler has scored 218 runs in 4 matches, with a century and a half century, smashing 15 fours and 15 sixes, with a strike rate of 141.55. Rajasthan Royals are sitting at the top of the IPL 2022 table, ahead of Net Run Rate, with three wins out of four.

In the match against IPL debutants Lucknow Super Giants, Yuzvendra Chahal finished with figures of 4-41, Jos Buttler got his century in the win against Mumbai Indians. While speaking on ‘Cricket Live’ on Star Sports, former England spinner Graeme Swann said Rajasthan Royals are playing very good cricket at the moment.
