Rain-Related Incidents Claim Nine Lives in Rajasthan as Heavy Rains Lash State
Since heavy rains began on Sunday and continued until Monday night, nine individuals have lost their lives in various parts of Rajasthan due to rain-related incidents. Banswara reported two deaths on Monday, and a woman died in Udaipur after her house’s wall collapsed in Kanbai village of Kherwara on Monday. The famous Baneshwar Dham shrine was isolated for nearly 36 hours, turning into an island due to heavy rains.
Meanwhile, cities like Kota, Jaipur, Ajmer, Bikaner, Sikar, Jodhpur, Pratapgarh, Sirohi, Banswara, Gongunda, and others experienced heavy rainfall on Monday. Meteorological officials predict a decrease in rainfall activity from Tuesday, with most places in the state expected to have clear skies by Wednesday.
