Rain continues in some parts of Telangana
Continuous rainfall in parts of Telangana for the fifth day has caused flooding in low-lying areas and disrupted normal life. Lakes, tanks, and other water bodies in some districts of north coastal Andhra Pradesh are overflowing due to the incessant rains. Authorities have opened floodgates of irrigation projects to release the excess water from upstream.
Three people lost their lives in rain-related incidents in the state on Friday. Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao reviewed the situation and instructed officials to stay vigilant and prevent any loss of life. The united Adilabad district experienced heavy rainfall, leading to the inundation of low-lying areas.
