Rahul Gandhi Visits Golden Temple in Amritsar Amidst Punjab Political Feud

Congress MP Rahul Gandhi made a personal visit to the Golden Temple in Amritsar on Monday, donning a blue cloth headgear. During his visit, he performed ‘sewa’ (voluntary service) at the holy shrine, cleaning tea bowls alongside other devotees. This private visit comes amidst ongoing political tension between the Congress and the ruling AAP in Punjab. Rahul Gandhi is expected to attend the ritual of ‘palki sewa’ on Tuesday morning.

While Congress leaders have emphasized that this is a personal visit and not political, the state has witnessed divisions within the party, with some leaders supporting an alliance with the AAP for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, while others oppose it.
