In a defamation case filed against Rahul Gandhi for alleged objectionable remarks against Union Home Minister Amit Shah, an MP-MLA court in Uttar Pradesh’s Sultanpur has summoned the Congress leader to appear personally on July 2.
The case, initiated in 2018 by BJP leader Vijay Mishra, saw Rahul Gandhi’s lawyer opposing a plea to involve another party, arguing it was irrelevant to the matter. Despite objections, the court dismissed the plea and insisted on Rahul Gandhi’s presence for the upcoming hearing.
