Congress leader Rahul Gandhi criticized the Narendra Modi government for leaving numerous posts vacant and accused it of neglecting the employment needs of the youth. Gandhi asserted that the government’s reluctance to fill vacancies demonstrates a lack of commitment to job creation. Highlighting data from Parliament, he pointed out significant vacancies in crucial departments such as railways, home ministry, and defense ministry, raising questions about the government’s inaction.
Gandhi questioned why over 30% of positions in 15 major departments remained unfilled, challenging the government to provide answers. He accused the BJP government of favoring a contract system over permanent jobs, undermining job security and stability for workers. Asserting the youth’s right to employment, Gandhi affirmed the INDIA bloc’s determination to open doors to job opportunities, promising concrete plans to address the issue. He concluded by expressing optimism that the youth’s future would brighten as the darkness of unemployment is dispelled.
