Congress leader Rahul Gandhi continued his visit to Telangana as part of the party’s campaign for the upcoming Assembly elections. On the second day of his visit, Rahul Gandhi participated in the ‘Vijayabheri Yatra,’ which began with a bike rally from GENCO Guest House to the Ambedkar statue in Bhupalpally. Congress leaders and workers joined the rally, with Rahul Gandhi waving at people along the route.
He was accompanied by prominent leaders, including Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee President A. Revanth Reddy, Congress Legislature Party Leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, and others. The yatra will extend to Peddapally, where Rahul Gandhi is set to address a public meeting. Afterward, he will undertake a padayatra from Karimnagar Housing Board circle to Rajiv Chowk, where he will address the public.
Rahul Gandhi and AICC General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra had previously launched the bus yatra from Mulugu district, announcing party guarantees and criticizing the BJP and BRS over corruption allegations. Elections for the 119-member Telangana Assembly are scheduled for November 30. The Congress has already announced candidates for 55 constituencies and is expected to release a second list after October 20.
