Putin Vows to Prevent Global Clash but Warns Russia Won’t be Threatened
Russian President Vladimir Putin, speaking on Victory Day, pledged that Russia would do everything to prevent a global clash but emphasized that it would not tolerate any threats against itself.
Addressing Russian servicemen on Red Square, Putin asserted that Russia’s strategic forces are always ready for combat. He called for a minute of silence and ended his speech with the words: “For Russia! For victory! Hurrah!”, prompting thousands of troops to respond with three loud cheers.
