The producers of the Malayalam blockbuster film “Manjummel Boys” find themselves embroiled in legal trouble after the Maradu police in Kerala registered a case against them for alleged cheating. The case was filed based on a complaint that the producers failed to honor a promise of profit-sharing made to an investor in the film.
According to the complaint, the producers, Parava Films, and its partner Shawn Antony, did not give the promised 40% share of the profits to the investor. The complainant alleges that despite investing ₹7 crore, he was not given the promised profit share, amounting to ₹40 crore, thus accusing the producers of cheating collectively to the tune of ₹47 crore.
