Probe Launched by Anti-Terror Agency and Bomb Squad into Blast Near Israel Embassy in Delhi
Following reports of a blast near the Israeli embassy in central Delhi on Tuesday evening, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and bomb squad officials have initiated an investigation. Security has been heightened around the embassy due to the conflict in Gaza. The NIA visited the blast site, collecting samples of grass and leaves that might contain traces of any explosives used.
The samples will be handed over to forensic experts for analysis. The anti-terror agency, accompanied by NSG commandos, a dog squad, and Delhi Police’s Special Cell, conducted a thorough search. Paramilitary personnel have been deployed for additional protection at the embassy.
An abusive letter addressed to the Israeli ambassador, wrapped in a flag, was discovered after the initial blast, reportedly containing indecent language and mentioning a group called “Sir Allah Resistance.” Authorities are analyzing CCTV footage and mobile phone signals to identify potential suspects. Israel has issued an advisory for its nationals in India, urging caution and avoidance of crowded places. All embassy diplomats and staff are reported to be safe.
