Pro-Khalistan Leader Warns of Political Consequences in India
Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, the leader of the pro-Khalistan group Sikhs For Justice (SFJ), has issued a warning that Chief Ministers Arvind Kejriwal of Delhi and Bhagwant Mann of Punjab will face “political death” if three associates linked to SFJ are not released by February 15. The threat followed the arrest of Jagdish Singh, Manjeet Singh, and Davinder Singh by the Punjab Police.
Pannun designated a terrorist in 2020 by India, accused Kejriwal and Mann of coercing donations from Khalistan supporters and warned of consequences, referencing historical events. The arrested men allegedly planned to raise the Khalistan flag and spray-paint pro-Khalistan graffiti ahead of Republic Day. Pannun has a history of issuing threats and has been wanted in multiple cases in India.
