Prime Minister Modi to Inaugurate Swarveda Mahamandir in Varanasi
On December 18, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to formally inaugurate the Swarveda Mahamandir, a unique temple of spirituality in Umraha, Varanasi. The inauguration coincides with a Yajna in 25,000 ‘kunds’ to mark the 100th anniversary of the establishment of Vihangam Yog Sansthan (VYS). The temple represents the spiritual treatise ‘Swarved,’ authored by Sadguru Sadafal Deo, the founder of VYS.
The PM had previously visited the under-construction site, witnessing the amalgamation of ancient philosophy, spirituality, and modern architecture. Sant Vigyandeo, successor of Sadguru Acharya Swatantra Dev, noted that the temple, with its 125 petal lotus domes and the engraving of 3,137 verses on Makrana marble walls, will be one of the world’s largest meditation centers. The two-day event will also include a 25,000 Kundiya Yajna, with over three lakh participants from around the globe.
