Prayagraj Police Attach Assets of Fugitive Henchman in Lawyer’s Murder Case

The Prayagraj police have taken action to attach the assets of Mohd Armaan, also known as Armaan Bihari, a henchman of the slain mafia politician Atiq Ahmed. Armaan is wanted in connection with the murders of lawyer Umesh Pal and his two police guards on February 24. Carrying a reward of Rs 5 lakh since the incident, Armaan is seen in CCTV footage participating in the sensational murder, firing shots at Umesh Pal’s car.

Despite a notice under section 82 of CrPC being served at his home, Armaan has been absconding, prompting the police to take action under section 83 of CrPC. The assets were attached following court instructions, as Armaan failed to appear before the court despite the notice.
