Prakasam Collector Pledges Expedited Completion of Veligonda Project

During an inspection of the Poola Subbaiah Veligonda Project, Prakasam District Collector A. Tamim Ansaria assured villagers of swift completion. The project, intended to supply Krishna water to Prakasam, Nellore, and Kadapa districts, has faced delays. Collector Ansaria engaged with displaced villagers from Kalanuthala, discussing compensation and extending cut-off dates for identifying displaced persons.

She visited rehabilitation colonies to assess infrastructure, including an intake well at Vemulakota. Markapuram MLA Kandula Narayana Reddy urged the Collector to expedite the project and address drinking water issues in the constituency, promising to report to the State government.
