PPP Accuses PML-N of Budget Exclusion
Tensions within Pakistan’s ruling coalition came to light as the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) accused the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) of sidelining its inputs in the preparation of the annual budget. Speaking after a parliamentary committee meeting, PPP Information Secretary Shazia Marri expressed frustration over the government’s failure to consider their party’s opinion in budget planning, including the federal Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP).
Marri highlighted the PPP’s annoyance over the government’s behavior, emphasizing that their voices were not heard despite efforts to engage with the authorities. This rift underscores the challenges within the coalition, with PPP leaders questioning the extent of the PML-N’s commitment to their partnership.
