Police Team Attacked in MP Village; Three Arrested
In a troubling incident in Madhya Pradesh’s Sagar district, a police team was attacked by villagers, including women, in Mahuakheda village on Thursday evening.
The police had been dispatched to arrest individuals with outstanding warrants when they were surrounded and assaulted by a group of locals who pelted them with stones.
Two police officers, Head Constable Pyarelal and Constable Brajendra, were injured in the attack but are reported to be out of danger. Three individuals have been arrested so far, and more are expected to be rounded up as the investigation progresses.
This marks the fifth attack on a police team in the region within two weeks, including incidents in Gadra, Damoh, and Budhar. The attack caused significant confusion, with reinforcements initially arriving at the wrong Mahuakheda village, though the situation was later brought under control.
Local authorities are treating such incidents with the utmost seriousness to maintain law and order.
