Police Officer Attacked in Bihar’s Rohtas District; Investigation Underway

In a disturbing incident on Sunday night, an Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) named Aneesh Kumar sustained injuries when a group of people attacked a police team in Rohtas district, Bihar. Aneesh Kumar, a resident of Saharsa, was leading a rapid response team called DIAL 112 and was stationed at the town police station in Sasaram city.

The police had received information about two groups involved in violence in the Sagar locality, prompting the deployment of the team. He was subsequently admitted to Sadar Hospital in Sasaram with grievous injuries. A viral video on social media captured the attack, and authorities are working to identify and book the accused under relevant sections for obstructing government duty and attempting murder.
