PM Modi’s Upcoming Visit to Thailand and Sri Lanka: Strengthening Regional Ties

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s upcoming visit to Thailand and Sri Lanka from April 03 to April 06 highlights India’s dedication to regional cooperation.

He will participate in the 6th BIMSTEC Summit in Bangkok, where leaders will focus on strengthening collaboration across sectors like security, trade, and connectivity. This summit marks the first in-person meeting of BIMSTEC leaders since 2018, showcasing India’s active role in the group.

After Thailand, PM Modi will travel to Sri Lanka, where he will review ongoing partnerships and inaugurate development projects in Anuradhapura. The visit aims to reinforce the India-Sri Lanka relationship, built on shared historical and cultural ties. Modi’s discussions with both Thai and Sri Lankan leaders will focus on future partnerships and regional stability.

The trip underscores India’s ‘Neighbourhood First’ and ‘Act East’ policies, further enhancing its vision for a prosperous Indo-Pacific.
